August 23rd 2007. Walking to school through the village, a child cried so much that his mother had to hide him in her kanga (like a sarong but more practical).
August 19th 2007 Looking around outside while having lunch with a colleague in his fairly remote village, a child ran away and looked terrified whenever I hove into view.
August 10th 2007 Walking to school – a child saw me and cried and had to be carried away by his mother because he was screaming so much.
